Challenge Accepted!

Writer's picture: margoduffmargoduff

When I was teaching in the last few years of my career, I would try to slip in at least fifteen minutes or more each night before bed time, sewing. I found the time in my sewing studio would relax me and leave me feeling happy and content. It sure beat scrolling on my phone. Of course many nights turned into thirty minutes, but time can get away from you when enjoying a hobby.

It always surprised me how much I could accomplish with little bits of time each day. Stitching each night would add up into a small project completed or a quilt top done. Progress on a project and time well spent was priceless.

Retirement has been busy and I have promised myself to slow down and enjoy more downtime in 2025. With that, let me offer you a fun challenge that I'm going to try! Join me in downloading this fun calendar and keeping track of something you wish to dive deeper into it. Perhaps it's reading, walking, yoga, hand stitching, crochet, embroidery, sewing, journalling or whatever brings you joy. Of course, I'm going to track my 'personal' sewing and walking.

Why not join me? Print and colour the corresponding date on the names of the months and add joy to your day when you take time for your activity. Let us know what you will challenge yourself to do!

I will have some printed here in the studio to share, but simply click on the image below and add it to your photos and print!
